Artfully Born was "birthed" from a desire to see the beauty and normalcy of birth renewed in our
society.  The name of the company is meant to imply that like each woman, each birth is unique and
different.  A woman in labor is not a project to be managed, but a masterpiece to behold.  As doulas, it
is our job to exhort and uplift that woman as she walks through her labor....remind her that she is not
alone -  that she is strong and capable, and  surrounded by care and compassion, ushered into the
blessing of motherhood.  
Thank you for inquiring about the services of my company,
Artfully Born.  My hearts desire is that every woman has an
opportunity to feel that her desires and needs for birth are
understood and met.  Women are blessed with the gift of
nurturing and that is what a doula does for the expecting
and new mother.  

The VBAC birth of my third child ignited a passion in my
heart to help other women walk through labor, birth and
early motherhood.  An expecting or new mother can
become quickly overwhelmed by the amount of information
available through books and internet.  And, of course,
every one get to hear at least one horrific birth story from
a well meaning friend or aquaintance.  This information
can produce fear or overwhemling feelings of insecurity.    
I can help you navigate through all the information so that
you feel like an informed, confident consumer and  mother.
  

As a doula, I provide childbirth education, labor/birth
support services, and educational classes on various birth
